MT KILIMANJARO CLIMBING
SHORT SUMMARY HIGHLIGHTS
There are numerous routes to choose from Machame, Rongai, each route offers a different trekking experience, level of difficulty and length of time spent on the Mountain. However this tour will start from Arusha and end in Arusha. It gives you the chance to climb Mt Kilimanjaro through Lemosho route. The Lemosho route is considered as the most scenic trail on Kilimanjaro, granting panoramic vistas on various sides of the mountain. As one of the newer routes, Lemosho is a superb choice for your climb. It is our preferred route due to its ideal balance of low crowds, beautiful scenery and a high summit success rate.
Day 1
ARUSHA
On your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will meet with the guide driver and transferred to your accommodation for check in, food and relaxation before a short briefing. Arusha is a city located at the base of volcanic Mt. Meru, the gateway to safari destinations.

Day 2
ARUSHA TO LONDOROSSI GATE
The guide driver will pick you up early in the morning and drive to Londorossi gate which is located on the western side of Kilimanjaro for registration. All climbers are required to verify their medical checks before trekking, to see if your age, fitness and health conditions are permissible to the high altitude. Then the professional mountain guide will give you a short briefing and lead you to climb the mountain through the forest of Lemosho glades to forest camp.

Day 3
FOREST CAMP TO SHIRA 1 CAMP
The professional mountain guide will give you a briefing early in the morning after breakfast and lead you to climb the mountain across a plateau of grassy moorland and heather scattered with volcanic rock formations as you head to Shira 1 Camp where often views of Kibo Peak floating on the clouds.

Day 4
SHIRA 1 CAMP TO SHIRA 2 CAMP
The professional mountain guide will give you a briefing early in the morning after breakfast and lead you to climb the mountain. On this day you will get the chance to view the Northern Ice fields from the western side of the mountain with some unusual views of Kibo as you head to Shira 2 Camp. In the afternoon you will take an acclimatization walk then head back to the camp.

Day 5
SHIRA 2 CAMP TO BARRANCO CAMP
The professional mountain guide will give you a briefing early in the morning after breakfast and lead you to climb the mountain. Your trek will start with an ascent as you are reaching panoramic views, and walk in to the climatic zone of the upland desert and on the lava ridges beneath the glaciers of the Western Breach which is close to the distinct pinnacle of the Lava Tower (4640 m), our high point for the day.

Day 6
BARRANCO CAMP TO KARANGA CAMP
The professional mountain guide will give you a briefing early in the morning after breakfast and lead you to climb the mountain. You will start your day by descending into the Great Barranco Wall, which divides us from the southeastern slopes of Kibo, as we head towards Karanga valley, you will experience the Heim and Kersten glaciers.

Day 7
KARANGA CAMP TO BARAFU CAMP
The professional mountain guide will give you a briefing early in the morning after breakfast and lead you to climb the mountain to Barafu camp, which is at 4640 across desolate scree slopes. The trek here has a tough steep walk made more difficult by altitude. On your arrival at the camp, you will eat and spend the afternoon resting as we prepare for a long night and day ahead.

Day 8
BARAFU CAMP TO CRATER CAMP
The professional mountain guide will give you a briefing early in the morning after breakfast and lead you to climb the mountain. You will start off at around midnight, and walk steeply upwards to the summit glaciers. You will be climbing scree for 4 to 5 hours but gain incredible height over a short distance. The views are spectacular. You should be on the crater rim at Stella Point (5739m) as the first rays of the sun hit us.

Day 9
CRATER CAMP TO MWEKA CAMP
The professional mountain guide will give you a briefing early in the morning after breakfast and lead you to climb the mountain with a gentle trek down through the rainforest to Mweka Camp, where you will complete park formalities and receive certificates. After that you will be transferred to your accommodation for shower and a big farewell celebration.

Day 10
MWEKA CAMP TO MWEKA GATE
The professional mountain guide will give you a briefing early in the morning after breakfast and lead you to climb the mountain with a gentle trek down through the rainforest to Mweka Camp, where you will complete park formalities and receive certificates. After that you will be transferred to your accommodation for shower and a big farewell celebration.

Day 11
ARUSHA
The driver guide will pick you in the morning after breakfast and drive you to visit Cultural Heritage, Tanzanite experience for shopping, until your transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for onward flight to your home country. END OF TRIP

ITINERARY TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- Nonrefundable 30% deposit is required to secure the tour and begin the necessary booking processes and ground preparations. An invoice will be sent to the client together with the payment instructions.
- Final balance payment of the tour booked is required to be paid not later than 21 days before the tour starts. Bookings made within 21 days of the tour start date should be paid in full.
- Cancellation received 35 days or more before the tour starts: No Cancellation Fees will be charged.
- Cancellation received 11 - 34 days before the tour starts: 30% Cancellation Fee will be charged.
- Cancellation received 3 – 10 days before the tour starts: 50% cancellation fee will be charged.
- Cancellation received within 48hrs before the tours starts: 100% Cancellation Fee will be charged.
